About Kelly
A trusted voice across academia, capital, and real estate execution
Kelly Shen is the founder and chairwoman of CentryStone. She previously served as a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University's College of Agriculture and also worked as a researcher at Emory University.
During the 2009 subprime mortgage crisis, Kelly entered real estate investing and generated more than $1 million in profit while building hands-on market knowledge in Atlanta.
In 2014, she shifted into commercial real estate. As one of the two co-founders of WePartner, she helped raise capital for 38 properties with a total asset value of $300 million.
In 2020, she founded CentryStone, which now owns and operates 27 real estate projects totaling about $200 million in assets across multiple U.S. states.
Kelly also founded the nonprofit True Love for Special Needs Families, INC., which supports children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and was approved in Georgia in 2022 to establish a government-authorized adult daycare center.
